The Brackett Series

The Brackett Series is organized by a collective of friends interested in the cultivation of art and culture, and with an intention to create experiences that enrich, unite, and celebrate the diverse threads of the human spirit.  We provide opportunity for friends to gather and offer tangible, hands-on experiences to create and enjoy a unique community.

What’s Special about Peaks Island?

Peaks Island, located just off the coast of Portland, Maine, is known for its charm, scenic views and tranquil ambiance. The island, accessible by a short ferry ride from Portland, is the most populated of the Casco Bay islands and home to approximately 1,200 fulltime residents and many more seasonal visitors.

The island offers a variety of wildlife and natural landscapes, rocky shores, sandy beaches, and forested wetlands. The island is best experienced by a walk or bike ride to explore the island sites, cottages and installations by many artists who call Peaks home. Sunrise and sunset enthusiasts flock to the shores for the stunning views of Casco Bay. It is a popular go to for kayaking, sailing, and simply relaxing by the water.

With its rich history, friendly community, and peaceful tempo, Peaks Island serves as a perfect day retreat and the inspiration for The Brackett Series.
